Fight Against Corruption: BUHARI READS "RIOT ACT" TO FAMILY MEMBERS

fight against corruption: Buhari reads ‘riot act’ to family members Says:
If they broke the law, they’ll face the wrath.
The President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has sounded a note of warning to his family members that he will not use his powers as president to protect any of them who broke the law, as he is set to assume the leadership of the country.
A family member, who attended the meeting summoned by the president-elect, told our reporter at the weekend that the General was very firm and solemn when he spoke to his ward in his Daura country home in Katsina State.
General Buhari addressed the members of the family, comprising of his children and other extended family members who look up to him, after he won the March 28 presidential election.
He called for the solemn assembly in between his various meetings with well-wishers from various parts of the country who thronged his country home in order to congratulate him.
According to the member who spoke to our reporter,Buhari made it very clear to his family that he would not protect them if they violated the country’s law, harping on the anti-corruption mantra, which is one of the reasons why he received massive votes during the presidential polls.
Sunday Trust learnt further that he admonished his family members to seek meaningful means of earning a living, giving his life story as an example of how one could start life from a humble beginning and achieve great success in life.
The president elect warned them against engaging in acts that would tarnish the image of the incoming administration, adding that family members who have no legitimate business or who are not invited to the Aso Rock would not be allowed into the Presidential Villa.
He also told them that he would not condone laziness from any member of the family. He advised them to work hard to earn a living, saying he worked very hard to become what he is today.
He reminded them that Nigeria is a great country with numerous opportunities, adding that only the lazy ones would wallow in poverty.

Xenophobia: South African writes a touching story about his friend from Congo

This South African man, Sbonelo Mbatha (left) took to his Facebook page to tell a heartwarming story about his friend from Democratic Republic of Congo who lives in South Africa. His post has over 38,000 likes and shared more than 10,000 times. Read what he wrote below...
This is my friend from DRC. He washes my car every time when I go to the gym and charges me R50. Even when I forget to lock the car, I'd never loose a cent when he is there! He pays R120 a day to hire the wash machine and sometimes looses his money when the weather turns rainy. He has 2 little girls with his wife, they both go to primary school.
He washes an average of 5 cars per day (5xR50=R250) - R120 = R130, buys food for R30, netts R100 per day on average. This guy survives on R2800, give or take per month. He pays rental and has kids to support. He took nobody's job! Any South African who wants to do his job is most welcomed! Stop killing them and abusing them, some are making an honest living under extremely difficult situations. #Stopxenophobia

"This violence directed at our brothers and sisters is shameful. My speech ... was directed at the police, calling for stricter law enforcement, but that was never reported. The public was instead given another side of my speech, which had been twisted and misrepresented." he said
He pleaded with South Africans to stop attacking foreigners.

Ondo mystery disease: FG, WHO confirm methanol as cause of disease

The Federal Ministry of Health and World Health Organization, WHO, say that the consumption of contaminated alcohol (gin) is believed to be responsible for the outbreak of the strange disease that has claimed at least 18 lives in Ondo state. At a joint press conference today, the Minister of State for Health, Mr Fidelis Nwankwo said the disease is not in anyway related to Ebola virus disease as was earlier speculated.
"Preliminary laboratory investigations indicates that the outbreak cannot be attributed to any infectious organism, bacterial or viral. The outbreak is also clearly not due to Ebola virus disease as feared by many at first. Epidemiological findings indicate a strong linkage of the outbreak to a consumption of a local gin that had been contaminated with methanol, a poisonous material. At this stage the particular poisonous substance is being ascertained. The results of this very detailed investigation currently been conducted by the government and our partners are still been awaited and will be made public as soon as possible"he said.

Full lyrics of 'Die With You' and a video of Beyonce performing the song after the cut...

I don’t have a reason to cry and I have every reason to smile
and I don’t have a reason to lie, when you’re already reading my mind
and I don’t have a reason to be, if I can’t be with you.

And I don't need air in my lungs, if I can’t sing your song.
No I don’t need hands if I don’t get to keep you warm
and I don’t really need myself, if I will need you.

Cause darling I wake up just to sleep with you.
I open my eyes so I could see with you and I live so I can die with you.
And I don’t really need these fingers, if I don’t get to touch your spine.
Well I don’t need these legs, if I ain’t walking by your side
and I don’t really need to be if I can’t be with you.

Cause darling I wake up just to sleep with you.
I open my eyes so I could see with you and I live, so I can die with you.
Cause darling I wake up just to sleep with you.
I open my eyes so I can see with you and I live so I can die with you.
I live so I can die with you.
